Well established medical device company in Redwood City looking to add a Human Resources Administrator to their team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of human resources records and the initial point of contact for employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizes and maintains personnel records and provide records management in accordance with applicable federal and state laws
Enters and updates all employee related data into our HRIS system
Supports employee onboarding, changes, and off-boarding as needed
Supports the administration of benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental,
vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan
Manages pre-employee background checks, verification of employment, credential letters,
unemployment claims processes, etc.
Prepares HR documents (e.g. employment offers and new hire paperwork)
Answers employee queries about HR-related issues
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in an administration role that is HR-related
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong interpersonal skills – both oral and written
Demonstrated customer service skills
Basic understanding of state and federal requirements and regulations
Working knowledge of HRIS system
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products
