Overview:
The Payer Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for performing outreach to payers to obtain the appropriate credentialing applications, successfully completing all forms, and performing follow up to ensure credentialing is approved. Payers to be credentialed include commercial and Medicare Advantage and the list will be provided.
You will be responsible for:
• Accessing and maintaining files and records needed for the credentialing applications
• Maintaining a payer tracking document to ensure all updates are tracked and logins are available
• Perform outreach to the payers provided on the payer list to obtain the appropriate credentialing applications
• Submitting paperwork timely and performing follow up to ensure paperwork is approved by the payer.
• Working closely with the Director of Billing Ops and Billing AR Manager to identify and resolve issues related to provider credentialing
• Other duties as assigned relating to payer credentialing
Your background should include:
• Knowledge and experience with provider credentialing and its direct impact on Revenue Cycle Management
• 2 years lab credentialing experience preferred
• 2 years experience with provider credentialing for medical billing
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft and Google Suite
• Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines timely
• Communicates clearly and effectively
